Ernest Hafersat has served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing Operations and Supply Base Management since November, 2008, with previous position as Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing Operations and Supply Base Management upon joining Dot Hill in March, 2008. My. Hafersat joined Dot Hill after leaving Western Digital Corporation where he held senior level positions in operations and engineering. Prior to Western Digital, Ernie was Vice President, Manufacturing Operations & Program Management for Carrier Access Corp. Previous positions include Vice President, Operations for Vari-l Corp., Vice President/ GM at Read-Rite Corp.- Philippines, Senior Director, Engineering/ NPI at Maxtor Corp. and Director of Engineering at Hyundai Semiconductor- Korea. Mr. Hafersat has overseen Operations, Supply Base Management, Global Supplier Quality and Engineering for both domestic and international multi-site facilities. His international experience includes China, Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and Costa Rica. Mr. Hafersat has a BSIE/BSEE from Waterbury State Technical University, and attended University of Hartford and Rennsslaer Polytechnic Institute with credits toward an MBA.
Kenneth F. Day has served as Dot Hill's Senior Vice President of Engineering since November 2012 and previously served as Chief Technical Officer beginning in November 2010. Mr. Day joined Dot Hill with more than 30 years as a respected industry visionary in the architecture, design, and execution of information technology solutions. During his career at IBM, Mr. Day provided significant contributions as principal architect that led to substantial growth in key storage segments. His innovations in the creation of IBM's Peer-to-Peer Virtual Tape Storage System revolutionized a new high availability market for IBM tape products. Mr. Day has over 60 patents and his development leadership has had a major impact on the modular storage business, data replication and business continuity solutions, and the optical library product family. More recently, Mr. Day was the engineering executive manager for LSI Corporation's external storage arrays. Mr. Day has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Master of Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
Brad Painter serves as Vice President of Channel Sales beginning in July 2011. Previous to that, Painter held the position of Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales at Pillar Data Systems. While at Pillar, Painter was responsible for worldwide channel sales and all distribution of Pillar branded products. Previous positions include Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Lantronix, a market leader in wired and wireless device networking and Director of Worldwide Host Bus Adaptor Sales for Applied Micro Circuits Corporation, a global manufacturer of semiconductor solutions, and senior sales management positions at Crossroads Systems, Pinacor, Exabyte and Hewlett-Packard.
Ali Asgari serves as Senior Vice President of Customer Support beginning September 2012 and is responsible for managing OEM and end customer requirements and services priorities and service and support organizations. Prior to joining Dot Hill, he held various positions over the past 24 years in the storage industry. Prior to rejoining Dot Hill Systems, Mr. Asgari was the Global Vice President of Customer Technical Support, for Hitachi GST, recently known as HGST, a Western Digital Company. Experience before joining HGST includes positions of Vice President of Customer Support for Dot Hill Systems, and Director of Customer Technical Support and Senior Program Manager for the Maxtor/Seagate Corporation. Mr. Asgari holds an MBA with honors from University of Phoenix and a Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
